  • From Tobu Asakusa Station:
    Depart 11:00 AM on the Limited Express bound for Aizu-Tajima, and get off at Yunishigawa Onsen Station.
    From Yunishigawa Onsen Station, take the bus bound for Yunishigawa Onsen, departing at 1:50 PM, and you will arrive at Honke Bankyu Ryokan around 2:10 PM.
  • From Tobu Asakusa Station:
    Depart 12:30 PM on the Limited Express bound for Kinugawa Onsen, and get off at Kinugawa Onsen Station.
    From there, take the bus bound for Yunishigawa Onsen, departing at 2:45 PM, and you will arrive at Honke Bankyu Ryokan around 3:35 PM.

    Alternatively, you may transfer from the same Limited Express at Kinugawa Onsen Station to the Yagan Railway line, continue to Yunishigawa Onsen Station, and take the bus from there — arriving at the ryokan at the same time (3:35 PM).

  • The last bus connection:
    Take the Limited Express bound for Aizu-Tajima, departing Asakusa Station at 2:30 PM.
    Get off at Yunishigawa Onsen Station, then transfer to the bus bound for Yunishigawa Onsen, departing at 5:15 PM.
    You will arrive at Honke Bankyu Ryokan around 5:35 PM.
  • There are only a few bus services from Yunishigawa-Onsen Station, so please pay close attention to the schedule. The last bus from Yunishigawa-Onsen Station to Honke Bankyu departs at 17:15, so please take a train from Asakusa Station to Yunishigawa-Onsen Station by 14:30.
  • Please note that Honke Bankyu does not provide a hotel shuttle service. If you miss the last bus, you will need to take a taxi.
  • Taxis do not wait at Yunishigawa-Onsen Station, so if you plan to take a taxi, please make a reservation in advance with a taxi company.
  • Dinner is served starting from 18:00. If you expect to arrive after 17:30, please be aware that the last order for dinner is at 18:30. Kindly contact us in advance if you will be arriving later than 17:30. Please note that irori-style and kaiseki meals will not be available after 18:30, so we kindly ask that you arrive by 18:30.

  • Please also be advised that Honke Bankyu is located in Nikko City, home to the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, Nikko Shrine. It takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach our hotel from Nikko Shrine by train or bus.

    Nikko City is quite large, and to ensure you do not miss dinner, we strongly recommend that you check into the hotel first and consider visiting Nikko the following day.
    The distance is considerable, and the transfer from train to bus can be complicated and time-sensitive.

From central Tokyo, take the Tohoku Expressway to the Utsunomiya I.C., then continue on the Nikkō-Utsunomiya Toll Road and exit at Imaichi I.C.
Follow National Route 121 toward Kinugawa and Aizu. After passing through the tunnel at the Ikari Lake junction, turn left toward Yunishigawa Onsen.
From there, it takes about 20 minutes to reach Honke Bankyu.

During Winter (December – Late March), roads may be covered with snow or ice. If you are traveling by car, please be sure to equip your vehicle with winter tires or tire chains for safe driving.
